Safety, Work And Rescue Magazine

Editorial

Dear Readers,

It is my honor to officially announce that the first issue of the scientific journal SWARM – Safety, Work And Rescue Magazine has just seen the light of day. The journal focuses not only on the theory and research of activities at heights and depths but, above all, on their practical application. While there are undoubtedly many similar periodicals, SWARM is inherently unique. This is because:

  • Activities at heights and depths across industries are its core themes, not just marginal topics.
  • It publishes exclusively articles that provide practical value, not theoretical studies detached from reality.

Although a lot of time has passed from the initial idea to the publication of the first issue, it feels like it all came together in just a few weeks. Therefore, I must thank not only my colleagues from the editorial board for launching the entire project but also the authors for preparing a diverse range of interesting articles and their willingness to publish them in a nascent and, thus, unfamiliar periodical. A huge thank you especially goes to the reviewers, who were willing to collaborate on something non-existent at the time and critically assess the submitted articles in the double-blind peer review process.

The SWARM journal is freely available in electronic form at swarm.craa.cz.

If you have any suggestions or comments, I would be happy to hear from you via email at swarmSWARM - Safety, Work And Rescue Magazinecraa.cz.

In the meantime, I wish you an enjoyable and insightful reading experience.

Michal Kantor

Chairman of the Editorial Board
